Balance for Better

Balance for Better

Today, on International Women’s Day, Mindfulness Without Borders would like to reach out, honor and acknowledge all the important women in our midst. Personally, the women’s movement has inspired me to stand up for women’s rights and promote a more gender inclusive world. It is one of the reasons why I think it so important that Mindfulness Without Borders’ educational programs work to seed conversations on open-mindedness, appreciation for diversity and compassion. After all, understanding each other, valuing our unique experiences and treating ourselves and others with care and concern are key factors when it comes to lifting the barriers preventing social, cultural and historical change.

So, in honor of this year’s International Women’s Day, I decided to reach out to our global community to find out how this movement has impacted their lives. Their answers mark the beginning of what I hope will be an ongoing, longstanding and worthwhile discussion.
